The multifaceted technical programme covered everything from durability and new protection concepts to timber construction, quality assurance, diagnostics and service life. With contributions on mould fungi, old wood and wood packaging materials, it was possible to look beyond the "end of one's nose" in wood protection.
Kevin Waibel, laboratory manager at Wolman (see picture), summarised the event: "The 31st Wood Preservation Conference has once again confirmed: our future is built of wood. In order to fully exploit the sustainability of this raw material, its longevity is crucial. Forward-looking protection systems are therefore of utmost relevance. This is where we, Wolman Wood and Fire Protection GmbH, make an important contribution with our proven product families Wolmanit®, Wolsit®, Wolsin®, Sinesto®. Thanks to the IHD for the successful organisation of the event and the interesting technical contributions."
