Wolman Wood and Fire Protection GmbH announces the appointment of Markus Rupp as its new Managing Director

Dr. Ralf Schulz to assume the position “Head of Corporate Industry Transformation Strategy”

 

Effective February 15, 2024, Markus Rupp takes over as Managing Director of Wolman Wood and Fire Protection GmbH from Dr. Ralf Schulz who will assume the new role “Head of Corporate Industry Transformation Strategy”, reporting directly to Patricia Heidtman, member of the Sika Group Management and Chief Innovation and Sustainability Officer.

 

Markus Rupp previously held the position of Business Unit Manager Building and Target Market Manager Flooring, Renovation & Building Materials at Sika Austria GmbH. He is looking forward to his new appointment: “Wolman Wood and Fire Protection GmbH is widely recognized for its exceptional expertise in wood preservation and fire protection solutions. Ralf Schulz started as Managing Director of Dr. Wolman GmbH in 2010, which he successfully integrated into the BASF group in 2014. The resulting BASF Wolman GmbH formed the modern basis of today’s company. The transition of the BASF Construction Chemicals Business to MBCC in 2020 as well as the launch of the Fire Protectors division in 2021 followed. Since May 2023, Wolman Wood and Fire Protection GmbH has been part of Sika.
