Wolman Wood and Fire Protection GmbH is part of the Sika. We design, produce and market high performance Wood and Fire Protection chemicals for industrial use and professionals.

In 1969, Wolman was partially taken over by the BASF Group and finally fully integrated in 2012. Wolman has been part of the MBCC Group since October 1st, 2020 through the takeover of the American investor Lonestar, together with other major brands in the BASF construction chemicals industry. On May 02, 2023, Sika successfully closed the acquisition of MBCC. Wolman and Fire Protectors have been part of Sika since then.

Our Headquarter is in Sinzheim close to Baden-Baden, Germany and comprises the Wood Protection production as well as the administrative and support functions for the legal entity and the European Sales Team (DE, FR, SE, FI, PL, UK).

Sika successfully closes MBCC acquisition.

After having received all necessary regulatory approvals, Sika has completed the acquisition of MBCC Group, which includes Wolman Wood and Fire Protection GmbH with the Wolman and Fire Protectors brands.

On 12 and 13 May 2022, the 31st German Wood Preservation Conference took place in Dresden, once again organised by the Institute for Wood Technology Dresden (IHD). This series of conferences was initiated and designed by the German Expert Committee on Wood Preservation, in which research and testing institutes, companies, associations, authorities and experts are represented, including Wolman Wood and Fire Protection GmbH.

This year's DHV Autumn Conference was hosted by Wolman Wood and Fire Protection GmbH on 19 October 2021 at Windeck Castle. The main conference theme was the contribution of vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) of indigenous woods to climate protection.
